Thoroughly exfoliate your skin a full 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid sugar scrubs as they contain oils that can create a barrier, preventing the tan from adhering properly. Additionally, steer clear of Dove and Olay products, which can also interfere with the tan's development.
For optimal results, use the EMK Ultimate Hype Girl Glove in a warm shower. Follow up with Native Body Wash or a dry brush to ensure your skin is perfectly prepped. If you use a razor with a moisture strip, shave before you exfoliate to avoid leaving any residue on your skin.
If your tan appointment is less than 24 hours away, skip the lotion to prevent creating a barrier between your skin and the spray tan.
Refrain from showering within 8 hours before your tan. Showering too close to your appointment can open your pores, allowing water to be absorbed and resulting in lighter tans.
For the most even and long-lasting tan, avoid exfoliating within 8-10 hours of your appointment. Since spray tans adhere to dead skin cells, exfoliating too close to your appointment can cause uneven fading.
